Session 4
- The PCs tried leaving the circle several times, but got unlucky and encountered the flames multiple times.
- They figured out that the flames were announced by the mirrors on the wall, and eventually Kri and Thuvaur left without triggering it, allowing them to examine the statue.
- They realized that it was a statue of Atima but couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be holding.
- Durk and Yagga eventually managed to leave the circle successfully too (though not before singing Kri). Durk realized that one of Atima's domains is knots, so they tied a knot and placed it in Atima's hands, activating the teleport.
- The PCs examined the broken apartment on the first floor before deciding to teleport up to level two.
- Yagga was fascinated by the brown mold, and managed to take a small sample.
- The PCs next entered the room with the shrine to Vihano and figured out (via lighting a candle) that the creature growing around them feeds on fire.
- They found the bodies of the Wetal students (Ulath and Isin) and Yagga took their student pins for possible use in a later disguise.
- Next, they found the portal to the Plane of Fire and were ambushed by the flame lizards. However, they managed to kill two of them (one by Yagga, via beheading, and one by Durk, via thorn whip), and the third fled back through the portal. Kri realized where the portal led, and decided not to enter.
- Thuvaur decided to offer the head of the slain lizard to the Vihano shrine, and in return Vihano gave the PCs a wand of ray of frost, with 12 charges. Kri took the wand.
- They entered the room with the dead vein and realized it was hollow pretty quickly, but ultimately decided not to enter.
- Yagga realized the rubble room was unstable, and threw a brick into it causing the floor to collapse.
- The PCs then teleported up to level three, and discovered themselves surrounded by chanting priests.
- Yagga went first, attacking a priest before running to the southern end of the bridge.
- Next, the Head Priest emerged, used spiritual weapon to attack Yagga, and cast shield of faith on himself. He moved to the north end of the bridge, leaving his weapon next to Yagga.
